NewsNOMINATIONS FOR BOARD MEMBERSAlaska NOW has openings for four board members. The officer positions for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are available for 4 year terms. We are looking for NOW members who have the dedication to lead Alaska NOW. Nominations are open to qualified members [All officers shall have been members of NOW for six (6) months prior to election.]
BOARD MEMBER DESCRIPTIONS:
• President, who shall be the principal spokesperson and administrator of NOW Alaska and manage the day-to-day affairs of NOW Alaska board meetings. The President shall preside at all board meetings.
• Vice-President, who shall assist the President and chair meetings in the absence of the President.
• Secretary, who shall take and keep the minutes of board meetings and attend to general correspondence.
• Treasurer, who shall receive all funds of NOW Alaska and shall deposit them in such bank as may be designated by the board, and who shall disburse the funds by check in accordance with the budget or vote of the membership, and who shall make written reports to the board and membership.
